GIVE HELP

IC's on-campus food pantry is open to all IC students, faculty, and staff. Spring semester hours are Tuesdays 6-7 PM and Fridays 4-5:30 PM. Please bring a reusable bag if you have one.

THE PANTRY

Ithaca College partners with Food Bank of the Southern Tier to provide a monthly mobile food bank at the A&E Center. The Mobile Food Pantry welcomes everyone in and outside the IC community and is open from noon to 1 PM one day per month. Spring 2020 dates can be found at the link above.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY

This student-initiated program allows IC students to donate guest passes from the meal plan to fellow students facing food insecurity. Students interested in receiving donated passes should contact Student Financial Services at sfs@ithaca.edu. This program is completely anonymous and students do not need a meal plan to receive donated meals.

SWIPE OUT HUNGER

Tompkins County is fortunate to host several locations for free food or prepared meals. Food pantries available by date and time can be found at the link above or scroll to the bottom of the page for a map of all locations.

TOMPKINS COUNTY

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schurler County works with many local food assistance programs to help families, individuals, and seniors find and access food resources that best meet their needs. Find a list of all locations and offerings at the link above.

SCHUYLER COUNTY

Food pantry locations in all other Central New York counties can be found at the link above.

CAYUGA, CORTLAND, BROOME, TIOGA, & CHEMUNG

The on-campus food pantry is seeking faculty, staff, and student volunteers to staff The Pantry during open hours. Spring hours are Tuesdays 6-7 PM and Fridays 4-5:30 PM.

THE PANTRY

Volunteers are needed to help set up and distribute food for two hours, once a month. This event is located in the A&E Center and the schedule can be found here.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY

Students with a campus meal plan can donate up to 2 of their guest meal passes per semester by filling out the form at the link above.

SWIPE OUT HUNGER

Reliable volunteers are needed to work independently on food pickups, volunteer outreach, neighborhood food hubs, gleaning, and other contributions as needed. Monetary donations are also welcome.

FRIENDSHIP DONATIONS NETWORK

Diverse volunteer opportunities are available with FBST. Aside from sorting, packing, and handing out food to families and children, volunteers are needed to "adopt" gardens by planting, watering, weeding, harvesting food for donation to the Kid's Farmers Markets.

FOOD BANK OF THE SOUTHERN TIER

Volunteer opportunities can be found at individual food pantries, but volunteers are also needed across the Southern Tier to help distribute fresh produce at Kids' Farmers Markets in Chemung, Steuben, Schuyler, Tompkins, and Tioga Counties.
